World Cleanup Day mobilizes volunteers across Brazil, Netherlands, and Belgium

Communities across Brazil, the Netherlands, and Belgium are organizing various cleanup initiatives in observance of World Cleanup Day. These actions aim to reduce litter in public spaces, including beaches, rivers, and urban areas, while promoting environmental awareness.

In Brazil, multiple regional efforts are underway. The Centro Tamar is organizing a cleanup at Guriri beach, while the Plogging RC project is mobilizing residents in Rio Claro. In the Pantanal region, the Instituto Homem Pantaneiro and Sesi are engaging students to clean the Paraguay River. Additionally, the Associação O Pequeno Nazareno is coordinating activities across six states, including Amazonas and Amapá, to protect natural habitats.

In Europe, local governments and volunteer groups are also active. In the Netherlands, municipalities like Barendrecht and Oosterhout are providing cleanup kits to residents to combat street litter. In Belgium, organizations in Torhout and Tremelo are focusing on sustainable community development and local environmental stewardship.
