Praia Grande hairdresser attacked with glass cup outside bar

A 45-year-old hairdresser, Sharoh Daniel Lopparelli, was attacked with a glass cup outside a bar in the Boqueirão neighborhood of Praia Grande, São Paulo, during the early hours of Saturday, October 12.

According to police reports, the victim was leaving an establishment on Rua Mococa with a friend and the friend's boyfriend when an unknown woman approached her and broke a glass cup against her head. The victim reported that there had been no prior argument or contact with the assailant inside the bar.

Lopparelli sustained significant injuries to her eyebrow, area below the eye, and jaw, requiring approximately 20 stitches at Hospital IGESP. Witnesses suggested the attacker might have been targeting the victim's friend, as the suspect is reportedly the ex-girlfriend of the friend's boyfriend. The incident has been registered as bodily injury at the 2nd Police District of Praia Grande, and no arrests have been made as of the latest update.
