Praia Grande man arrested after setting fire to garage with children locked inside

A 57-year-old man, identified as Danilo Antonio da Silva, was arrested in Praia Grande after setting fire to motorcycles in a residential garage while his two young children, aged 8 and 10, were locked inside the house.

The incident occurred following a domestic dispute motivated by jealousy. According to reports, the suspect attacked his partner and ignited fuel on two motorcycles in the garage. The children were able to escape unharmed after the Fire Department responded to the scene following calls from neighbors.

Investigations revealed a history of domestic abuse within the household. The victim informed authorities that the children had lived in fear of their father due to his explosive and violent behavior. The suspect attempted to flee the scene when police arrived but was apprehended shortly after.
