Praia Grande: Man shot dead during wife's birthday party

Eduardo Brito de Almeida, 40, was shot and killed during his wife's birthday celebration in the Ribeirópolis neighborhood of Praia Grande, São Paulo. The incident occurred on a Sunday night in a residential backyard.

Witnesses reported that two hooded men arrived in a black vehicle and announced their presence by shouting “O Ibama chegou” before opening fire. Almeida was struck in the arm, jaw, and head. Although family members rushed him to the Praia Grande Health House, he succumbed to his injuries.

Police recovered four projectiles from the scene. The General Investigations Police Station (DIG) is leading the investigation to determine the motive and identify the suspects. No arrests have been made as of the latest report.
