Praia Grande municipal schools vandalized during the night

Two municipal schools in Praia Grande, on the coast of São Paulo, were vandalized during the early hours of Friday, August 25. The targeted institutions include the Escola Municipal Idalina da Conceição Pereira in the Vila Sônia neighborhood and the Escola Municipal Professora Ivanira Teresa Pedroso in Melvi.

Images from the scene show broken windows, damaged structures, and debris scattered across external areas, including near student playground equipment. One school suffered damage to its roof structure and a wooden wall that provided access to the interior.

The municipal administration reported that school classes were not disrupted, as cleaning and organization teams worked to maintain the regular schedule. While security cameras recorded the invasions, the perpetrators fled before police arrived. The Public Security Secretariat (Seasp) has provided monitoring footage to the Civil Police to assist in the ongoing investigation.
