Praia Grande Secures Bronze at Brazilian Beach Handball Circuit

The Praia Grande men’s beach handball team finished the national leg of the Brazilian Beach Handball Circuit with a bronze medal in Matinhos, Paraná. After a 2‑1 victory over Paranaguá in the third‑place match, the squad recorded five wins and two losses across seven games, winning 13 of the 20 sets played. Their campaign included group‑stage wins over Paranavaí, CEPRAEA and Campinas, a quarter‑final triumph against IDEC, and a semifinal loss to Niterói before clinching the bronze.

The result highlights the growing prominence of beach handball in Praia Grande and adds to the sport’s expanding profile ahead of its exhibition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
