Pralhad Joshi reviews CBSE academic and examination processes

Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi met with senior officials from the Department of School Education and Literacy to review and strengthen the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The discussions focused on improving academic, examination, and administrative processes, with an emphasis on increasing efficiency, transparency, and support for both students and teachers.

The review follows controversies regarding the CBSE digital on-screen marking system, which led to student complaints about unreadable scans, missing pages, and unexpected grading results. Additionally, the meeting addressed the ongoing debate regarding the three-language formula and concerns raised by the Supreme Court regarding teacher availability and student workload.

Minister Joshi also conducted virtual meetings with the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to discuss higher education priorities. These discussions included strategies for strengthening academic institutions and promoting sports through the Khelo Bharat initiative.
