Mumbai‑based content creator Prannay Joshi staged a social‑media experiment at New York’s Times Square, aiming to locate 100 Indians within an hour. Starting the challenge at 9:57 pm, he approached passing groups, asking "Are you from India?". The first group he approached consisted entirely of Indians, giving him an early boost. Within 15 minutes he had identified 32 Indians, and by the 48‑minute mark he had reached his target of 100, completing the task well before the hour elapsed.

Joshi recorded the entire effort on camera and posted the footage to Instagram, where it quickly went viral. Viewers commented on the ease of spotting fellow Indians in a busy tourist hub and praised his energy and determination.
