Prashant Kishor pledges jobs for 10,000 youths in Bankipur
Prashant Kishor, leader of the Jan Suraaj Party and newly elected MLA for Bankipur, has pledged to help at least 10,000 unemployed youths in his constituency secure jobs within the next one to two years. During his first visit to Bankipur following his by-election victory, Kishor requested that families submit the CVs and biodata of educated, unemployed children to his office.
Kishor clarified that he is not promising government positions, as those are not within his control. Instead, he intends to leverage his extensive network of private-sector contacts across the country to facilitate private employment. He noted that while some youth may initially need to work outside Bihar, his long-term goal is to create local opportunities to prevent migration.
Beyond employment, Kishor outlined several other priorities for the constituency, including improving government schools, ensuring the distribution of five kilograms of foodgrains, and addressing issues with ration cards. He also committed to assisting residents over 60 in accessing a monthly pension of Rs 1,100. Kishor stated that his focus remains on education, employment, and social welfare to drive systemic change in the region.
