Prasidh Krishna leads India's ODI wicket-takers in 2026

Indian fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has emerged as the country's leading ODI wicket-taker in 2026, claiming 15 wickets across eight matches this year. During the first ODI against West Indies in Thiruvananthapuram, Krishna took 2 for 60, dismissing Keacy Carty and Roston Chase.

Krishna attributed his recent success to improved communication and clarity within the Indian team environment. He noted that understanding teammates' strengths and having a clear role helps in high-pressure situations. The match also featured a significant milestone for Virat Kohli, who scored his 55th ODI century and became only the second batter to surpass 15,000 runs in the format.

West Indies posted a total of 295 for 7 in their 50 overs, supported by a century from Justin Greaves and a half-century from Amir Jangoo. India's bowling attack was bolstered by Kuldeep Yadav, who recorded figures of 4/40.
