India expands industrial capacity with major investments in MP, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh

Major industrial developments are underway in India, with significant investments in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh.

In Madhya Pradesh, the Pratap Group has inaugurated two manufacturing facilities in Pithampur worth Rs 850 crore. These include Corsis Industries, an advanced optical fibre plant supporting 5G and digital infrastructure, and Voltters Technologies, a battery energy storage and lithium-ion manufacturing facility utilizing robotic automation.

In Odisha, the state government has cleared 14 industrial investment proposals totaling Rs 2,780 crore. These projects, spanning sectors such as food processing, textiles, chemicals, and medical devices, are expected to create over 14,000 jobs across 10 districts. Notable projects include a Rs 500-crore snacks manufacturing unit by Haldiram Snacks Food and a Rs 251-crore garment unit in Dhenkanal.

Additionally, Andhra Pradesh has invited tenders for 12 health-related projects valued at Rs 221 crore. These works aim to construct Ayush medical service buildings, medical colleges, and upgrade existing hospital facilities across several districts.
