Pratapgarh: Two dead and multiple injured in electrical accident at Congress meeting

A fatal electrical accident occurred in the Rendha Panchayat area of Pratapgarh district, Rajasthan, during preparations for a Congress party meeting regarding Panchayati Raj elections.

Strong winds caused the tent set up for the event to shake and lift. As people attempted to stabilize the structure by holding its iron pipes, the pipes came into contact with overhead high-tension power lines. The resulting electric current caused multiple casualties.

Two individuals, identified as Mohan Meena and Arjun Meena, died in the incident. Reports indicate between nine and 13 people were injured. The injured were transported via ambulance to the Pratapgarh District Hospital for medical treatment. Local officials, including ADM Vijesh Pandya and ASP Jaidev Sihag, visited the hospital to monitor the situation and oversee medical arrangements. The accident occurred shortly before the scheduled arrival of MLA Nanalal Ninama.
