Prataprao Jadhav calls for improved Ayush healthcare delivery
Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav has called for the strengthening of Ayush services across India, emphasizing the need for accessible, quality, and people-centric healthcare delivery. Speaking at a national workshop organized by NITI Aayog in Hyderabad, Jadhav stressed that coordinated efforts between the Central Government, States, and Union Territories are essential to expand the reach and impact of Ayush systems.
The workshop, titled ‘Strengthening the Ayush Ecosystem in States and Union Territories’, brought together senior officials from over 30 States and Union Territories along with various experts. Discussions focused on sharing best practices and innovative approaches in areas such as healthcare delivery, education, research, capacity building, and integration with the broader healthcare system.
Prof. M. Srinivas of NITI Aayog highlighted the potential of technology-integrated and evidence-based approaches to improve health outcomes. Additionally, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, noted the critical role of local governments in ensuring the effective implementation of these services at the grassroots level.
