Pratika Rawal replaces Jemimah Rodrigues for India's Asian Games squad

Pratika Rawal has been named to the Indian women's cricket squad for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, as a replacement for Jemimah Rodrigues. Rodrigues is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained during her time with Southern Brave in The Hundred.

Rawal, who recently made her T20I debut during the ongoing Women's Asia Cup in Dubai, has been slotted into the number three position. She joins the team as they prepare for a high-stakes Asia Cup semi-final against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

India enters the semi-final seeking batting stability in the middle order, a concern following a recent collapse against Thailand. While India has won its last eight T20I meetings against Bangladesh, the upcoming match will determine which team advances to the tournament final on Sunday.
