Pratika Rawal to miss Warwickshire Bears stint for India T20I call-up

Indian batter Pratika Rawal will miss her scheduled stint with the Warwickshire Bears following her maiden T20I call-up for the upcoming Women's Asia Cup. Rawal was expected to make her county debut during the Metro Bank One-Day Cup, but her international selection takes precedence.

Rawal has been drafted into the Indian squad as a replacement for Jemimah Rodrigues, who is sidelined with a high-grade right hamstring injury. The Asia Cup is scheduled to begin on August 28 in Dubai.

Warwickshire head coach Ali Maiden expressed disappointment regarding the loss of the 25-year-old batter but acknowledged the prestige of her selection. The club stated that while they were looking forward to her arrival, playing for one's country is the ultimate honor.
