Prato begins pedestrianization of Piazza San Francesco

Authorities in Prato have begun works to relocate motorcycle parking stalls from Piazza San Francesco to an adjacent parking area. This initiative aims to enhance the livability of the historic center and better showcase the architecture of the church following its restoration.

The reorganization allows the area in front of the church to be reclaimed for pedestrians. While local traffic flow remains unchanged, this move serves as the initial step in a broader program for the pedestrianization of various parts of the historic center.
