Pratt & Whitney appoints Jill Albertelli as new president

RTX has announced that Jill Albertelli will become the president of engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney, effective January 1, 2027. She succeeds Shane Eddy, who is retiring from the role. To ensure a smooth transition, Eddy will remain with the company through March 2027 serving as a special advisor.

Albertelli currently serves as the president of Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engines division, a role she has held since December 2021. In this capacity, she has overseen the development and production of advanced propulsion systems, including the F135 engine for the F-35 fighter aircraft and development for the B-21 bomber. Her experience spans over three decades in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management, and commercial programs.

RTX Chairman and CEO Chris Calio noted that Albertelli’s deep understanding of the business and her track record in quality performance and mission readiness make her the appropriate leader for the company’s future, particularly as it navigates challenges regarding engine durability and manufacturing.
