Pratt & Whitney to invest $25 million in Niepołomice plant expansion

Pratt & Whitney, a business unit of RTX, is investing $25 million (approximately 95 million PLN) to expand its manufacturing facility in Niepołomice, Poland. The expansion, which is expected to be completed by 2028, aims to increase production capacity for complex tubular assemblies used in both commercial and military aircraft engines.

The Niepołomice site produces precision components for several major engine families, including the GTF engine for passenger aircraft, the PW800 for business jets, and the F135 engine that powers all variants of the F-35 Lightning II fighter aircraft. The expansion is projected to create more than 120 new jobs.

This project is part of a broader $125 million investment program by Pratt & Whitney in Poland this year, which includes a previously announced $100 million investment in a Rzeszów facility. Poland serves as RTX's largest investment and employee base outside the United States, employing over 9,500 people across its Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon businesses.
