Praveen Kumar applies for BCCI junior selection committee role

Former Indian international cricketer Praveen Kumar has applied for a position on the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) junior selection committee. The 39-year-old pacer, who represented India in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is, stated his desire to contribute to the sport following his retirement.

Kumar previously served as a coach and a selector for the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA). He will compete against several other applicants for one of the five available positions on the panel, which is tasked with selecting age-group teams up to the Under-22 level for coaching camps and domestic fixtures.

Other applicants for the committee include Sudeep Tyagi, Ashish Winston Zaidi, Ramesh Powar, and Manoj Joglekar. The new panel is expected to replace the committee currently led by S Sharath.
