Praxis portable countertop dishwasher reviewed

A Praxis portable dishwasher that sits on the countertop above the sink was tested without any installation. The unit measures 42 cm × 47.1 cm × 43.2 cm and uses three litres of water for washing and three litres for rinsing.

Two cycles were evaluated: a 26‑minute “day‑to‑day” program for normal loads and a 30‑minute “heavy‑wash” for heavily soiled items such as a greasy frying pan. The machine performed well with hot water, cleaning dishes, cutlery and glasses, and it accepts powder, liquid or tablet detergents. Water‑saving benefits were noted, as the reviewer previously ran the tap for about ten minutes per wash.

A practical issue was the size of the appliance, which made accessing the water filter difficult when placed on the right side of the sink. Moving it to the left side improved access but required pulling the unit forward after each cycle to keep the water hose close to the basin.
