Prayagraj residents hold prayers for pilot Captain Smit Machhar

In Prayagraj, local residents and devotees gathered at Dashashwamedh Ghat to perform special prayers and aarti for Captain Smit Machhar, an Indian pilot for flydubai. The ceremony was held to pray for his quick recovery and long life following a recent aviation incident.

On September 30, during a flydubai flight traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv, Captain Machhar reportedly demonstrated immense courage after being attacked with a knife. Despite the assault and the threat to approximately 180 passengers, he managed to ensure the safety of 174 people and successfully landed the aircraft. He remains in serious condition in the hospital as the community honors his bravery and dedication to duty.
