Prádena hosts third Segovian traditional costume concentration

Hundreds of participants gathered in Prádena for the third Concentration of the Segovian Regional Costume. The event brought together residents from various municipalities and neighborhoods of the capital to showcase traditional attire, including regional garments, jewelry, and Castilian capes.

Initiated in 2024 by the Cultural and Social Association of Women from the Santo Tomás neighborhood, the event aims to preserve and promote the province's material and immaterial heritage. The Diputación de Segovia supported the gathering by providing transportation to encourage provincial participation.

The day's activities included a parade from the local school to the Plaza Mayor, an Eucharist at the San Martín parish church accompanied by the UPA choir, and traditional music and jota dancing in the main square. The event concluded with a recital by Nuevo Mester de Juglaría.
