Prádena, Spain unveils summer theatrical heritage walk 'Memoria de Caminos

The municipality of Prádena and the cultural association Sepúlveda Viva are launching a new summer walking tour titled “Prádena, Memoria de Caminos. Un recuerdo a cada paso.” The event will take place on the evenings of 31 July, 1, 7, 8, 14 and 21 August, each starting at 20:00.

The tour uses live theatre and narration to guide visitors through the town’s streets, highlighting everyday characters such as a transhumant shepherd, a young woman awaiting her flock, a forge‑working woman and an elder keeper of popular wisdom. The script is built on rigorous historical research and incorporates contributions from local residents, emphasizing traditional occupations, customs, the wool trade, the forge, architecture and festival traditions.

Organisers say the format replaces a traditional guide with the characters themselves, offering an emotional and historically accurate experience for all audiences. The initiative reinforces Prádena’s commitment to disseminating its cultural heritage and supports local talent and nearby companies.
