Prefect Clemente Di Nuzzo visits Catanzaro Guardia di Finanza command

On the morning of 6 August 2026, the Prefect of Catanzaro, Dr. Clemente Di Nuzzo, paid an official visit to the provincial headquarters of the Guardia di Finanza in Catanzaro. He was received by the provincial commander, General Pierpaolo Manno, and the heads of the units based in Catanzaro, Lamezia Terme and Soverato.

During a briefing the Prefect was briefed on the Guard's organisational structure, its economic‑financial policing duties and its role in maintaining public order. Particular attention was given to the Guard’s operations against the ‘Ndrangheta and to oversight of public spending. The Prefect thanked the officers for their service, highlighted the collaborative climate among local institutions, and stressed its importance for combating illegal activity. The provincial commander reciprocated the gratitude and pledged continued close cooperation with the Prefect’s office.
