Prefect Emanuela Greco Highlights New Guardia di Finanza MH169A Helicopter in Pesaro

On 30 July 2026, Prefect of Pesaro e Urbino, Dr. Emanuela Saveria Greco, together with Provincial Commander Colonel Davide Masucci, inspected the newly commissioned MH169A helicopter of the Guardia di Finanza's aerial section based in Rimini. The flight demonstrated the aircraft’s ability to support a range of missions, including financial‑crime investigations, environmental enforcement, day‑and‑night coastal patrols, maritime police duties and emergency rescue operations during natural‑disaster or extreme‑weather events. A key feature highlighted was the onboard IMSI‑Catcher system, which can quickly locate missing persons by detecting their mobile‑phone signals. The Prefect praised the helicopter’s advanced technology and said it will strengthen the province’s overall rescue and security capabilities.

The event underscores the Guardia di Finanza’s expanding aerial assets and its commitment to modernising regional emergency response infrastructure.
