Zinta clarified that the claims were "click-bait content" intended to spread negativity. She explained that she was in a hurry to shoot specific shots and catch a flight for the promotion of her upcoming film, "Bantwara 1947." She emphasized her respect and affection for Khan, stating, "I have a lot of love and respect for Aamir in my heart."

"Bantwara 1947," produced by Aamir Khan and starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, is scheduled for release on August 14, 2026.
