Preity Zinta prepares for release of Batwara 1947

Actress Preity Zinta is preparing for the release of the film ‘Batwara 1947’, which marks her return to the big screen after an eight-year hiatus. The film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan under the Aamir Khan Productions banner. Set in Lahore against the backdrop of the 1947 partition of India, the drama features a cast including Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Abhimanyu Singh.

Zinta recently shared a look test photo for her character, Hamida, depicting a minimalistic appearance in a simple saree. During the film's promotional press tour, she has also been noted for her ethnic fashion choices, including a fuchsia farshi salwar set by Devnaagri. The film is scheduled to reach cinemas on 14 August 2026.
