Preiļu novads educators complete wellbeing training in Spain

Educators from the Preiļu novads Education Board participated in a professional development program in Seville, Spain, titled ‘Positive Learning and Wellbeing in Schools’. The mobility project, conducted under the Erasmus+ framework, was organized by the Siner Advanced Skills Institute.

The program focused on providing practical strategies and theoretical knowledge to foster a healthy school environment, emotional safety, and sustainable wellbeing. Training modules included teacher self-growth, emotional regulation techniques such as the ‘STOPP method’, and building positive relationships within the school community through active listening and empathy.

Participants also explored positive psychology using the PERMAH model, covering aspects such as positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning, achievement, and health. The week concluded with the development of school wellbeing action plans using SMART goals.
