PREMA Racing fined by FIA over pit lane dress code violation
PREMA Racing has been fined 500 euros by the FIA following a violation of safety regulations during the Formula 2 event in Madrid. The penalty was issued because Paulina Montoya, sister of driver Sebastian Montoya, entered the pit lane wearing a short dress.
According to Article 22.15 of the FIA Sporting Regulations, all technical and team personnel must wear long trousers in restricted working areas for safety reasons. While the team argued that Paulina was attending as a guest rather than operational staff, the FIA maintained that teams are legally responsible for the conduct and attire of any person they grant access to restricted zones.
The incident occurred following the Friday qualifying session. The fine must be paid to the FIA within 48 hours. No sporting penalties, such as grid drops or license points, were issued to Sebastian Montoya.
