Premier Alliance to resume Suez Canal transits for FE1 service
The Premier Alliance is set to resume Suez Canal transits for its FE1 service connecting Southeast Asia and Northern Europe starting in October. This marks a shift from the route via the Cape of Good Hope, which the alliance has utilized since early 2024.
The service, operated by Ocean Network Express (ONE), HMM, and Yang Ming, will begin with the container ship ONE Continuity departing Laem Chabang, Thailand, on October 17 or 19. The route is scheduled to include stops in Cai Mep, Singapore, Rotterdam, Hamburg, and Le Havre.
Other vessels in the FE1 service, including the NYK Venus, ONE Hamburg, and NYK Orion, are also expected to transit the Suez Canal on Asia-North Europe routes later in the fourth quarter. This movement follows a broader trend of container ships returning to the Red Sea corridor after significant diversions caused by the Red Sea crisis.
