Premier Investments and Pro Medicus report mixed financial results
Premier Investments Ltd reported a 10.3% decrease in net profit to $129.2 million for the year ending July 25, with revenue from ordinary activities falling 2.8% to $808 million. Despite the decline, shares rose more than 3% in early trading following the announcement. The company declared a final dividend of 36 cents per share. Chair Solomon Lew noted that while discretionary retail conditions were challenging, brands like Peter Alexander and Smiggle are implementing growth strategies and refreshed product ranges.
Pro Medicus Ltd (PME) has seen its share price decline by approximately 25% to 27% since the start of the year. The radiology IT software provider, known for its Visage software, reported an annual revenue of $162 million with a three-year compound annual growth rate of 33.4%. The company reported a profit of $83 million for the last financial year, up from $31 million three years prior, maintaining a gross margin of 99.8%.
