Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior, 25, is approaching the final months of his contract and has indicated he wants a salary on par with Kylian Mbappé. A yet‑unnamed Premier League giant is preparing a massive offer of roughly €159 million (about £137 million) to sign the Brazilian this summer.

Negotiations between Real Madrid and the player are on hold until after the World Cup. If a new deal cannot be reached, Madrid is prepared to sell to avoid losing the player on a free transfer.
