Premier League clubs and Champions League draw set for 2026-27 season

The English Premier League is preparing to resume after the World Cup, with eight new permanent managers appointed and newly promoted Coventry City set to face Arsenal in the season‑opening match at the Emirates. Arsenal entered the campaign as defending champions, while Manchester City continues to navigate a large number of pending charges and a key injury to captain Rodri. UEFA has released the projected pot allocations for the 2026–27 Champions League league phase. Of the 36 qualified teams, Pot 1 will contain Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Paris Saint‑Germain, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan. Pot 2 includes Aston Villa, Manchester United, Roma, Real Betis, Sporting CP, Porto, Club Brugge and PSV Eindhoven, while the remaining clubs are placed in Pots 3 and 4. The draw will be conducted using automated systems, marking a shift from traditional manual draws.
