Premier League clubs eye Greek defender Konstantinos Koulierakis after Wolfsburg relegation

Greek centre‑back Konstantinos Koulierakis, 22, is expected to leave Wolfsburg following the club’s drop to the 2. Bundesliga. Despite a contract running to 2029, his recent season with four goals in 59 appearances has attracted interest from several Premier League sides, including Chelsea, Brentford and Newcastle United, as well as from other clubs such as Juventus. Transfermarkt values him at about €25 million and Wolfsburg originally paid roughly €12 million for him from PAOK.

In parallel, Olympiacos is active in the winter market, pursuing striker Konstantinos Karetsas after Italy’s failed World Cup qualification and considering other targets while managing departures from rivals AEK. AEK itself has confirmed exits for players like Pedro and Fernándes and is monitoring further moves. Additionally, Greek forward Yakoumakis, who turned down a €5 million buy‑out from Cruzeiro, is linked with a possible transfer to Saudi Arabia. These developments underline a busy transfer window for Greece’s top clubs.
