Premier League clubs hike replica shirt prices up to £90

Eight Premier League clubs raised the price of replica shirts for the new season, with adult adult kits now costing as much as £90. Tottenham Hotspur’s adult first‑team replica rose to £90, a £5 increase, while Chelsea’s adult shirt reached £89, also up £5. Coventry City’s adult shirt went to £70, a £10 rise, and its children’s kits jumped 25% to £60, with baby kits at £55. Ipswich Town, Leeds United, Bournemouth and Hull City each added £5 to their replica prices, and ten clubs now charge £80 or more. Brentford is the only club that kept its kit unchanged for two years. Consumer expert Scott Dixon of The Complaints Resolver called the hikes "blatant greed" and warned they could drive fans to buy counterfeit merchandise. He cited Operation Bloxwich, which seized counterfeit football shirts worth over £18 million during the World Cup.
