Premier League clubs Manchester City and Newcastle United advance in major transfer deals

Major transfer activity is unfolding in the Premier League as Manchester City and Newcastle United move to secure key targets.

Manchester City has reached an agreement to sign Iliman Ndiaye from Everton for £65 million. While Tottenham Hotspur had been in advanced negotiations with Everton and was reportedly nearing a club-level agreement, the deal collapsed because Ndiaye personally preferred a move to Manchester City. The transfer is expected to be finalized following a medical examination.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United is nearing the acquisition of Belgian forward Mathias Fernandez Pardo from Lille. Reports indicate that a club-to-club agreement has been reached for a fee of approximately €60 million (£11 billion yen). The 21-year-old, who featured in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, is expected to travel to England for a medical check as contract details are finalized.
