Premier League clubs phase out gambling logos from shirt fronts
Premier League clubs have agreed to phase out gambling and casino branding from the front of match shirts starting this season. While betting brands are not banned entirely, they are being restricted to sleeve positions or training wear.
This shift has led to a rise in sponsorships from the technology and finance sectors. Companies such as Temporal, ClickHouse, and CMC Markets have secured prominent spots. Cryptocurrency firms like BingX and OKX have also moved into secondary sponsorship positions.
Nottingham Forest has secured a multi-year partnership with the financial firm Marex to serve as its Global Markets Partner, filling the vacancy left by its previous betting sponsor, Bally’s Corporation. The deal covers the men’s, women’s, and netball teams. Other clubs, including Chelsea and Sunderland, have faced challenges in securing long-term front-of-shirt partners during this transition.
