Premier League clubs' transfer moves and promotion outlook ahead of new season

Huddersfield Town have secured promotion to the Premier League for the first time in nine years. Manchester City entered the summer window with just two new signings. They paid a British record £116 million to bring in midfielder Elian Anderson from Nottingham Forest and added 17‑year‑old winger Shelimonga on a £12.5 million deal, while a young goalkeeper was loan‑out. The club acknowledges that its recruitment lagged behind rivals and is targeting further reinforcements in midfield, wing, forward and right‑back positions, with a reported interest in Chelsea winger Bernardo Silva, who is listed at £70 million.
