Premier League clubs West Ham and Fulham see transfer developments

In recent football transfer activity, West Ham United's attempt to sign Schalke 04 midfielder Soufiane El-Faouzi has failed. Despite West Ham agreeing to a transfer fee exceeding 10 million euros, the 24-year-old Moroccan midfielder rejected the move to London, citing a desire to remain a key figure at the German club. El-Faouzi, who holds a contract with Schalke until 2029, had previously attracted interest from several other clubs including Celtic and Brentford.

Meanwhile, Fulham has completed the signing of Austrian defender David Affengruber from Elche. The 25-year-old center-back joins the Premier League side in a deal worth 12 million euros plus bonuses. Affengruber has signed a four-year contract with the option to extend until 2031. He arrives at Craven Cottage to bolster the defense following the departure of Issa Diop to Ipswich Town.
