Premier Paints announces board restructure and new chairman

Premier Paints Plc has announced a major restructuring of its Board of Directors following the acquisition of a controlling stake in the company by Xenergi Limited. Effective August 31, 2026, the changes are subject to shareholder ratification at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

Mr. Emeka Ene, the CEO of Oida Group and an executive at Xenergi Limited, has been appointed as the new Board Chairman. The restructuring follows the retirement of three directors: Mr. Adedoyin Adeyinka, Dr. M. K. O. Balogun, and Mr. Ajayi Oluyemi.

In addition to the new Chairman, the company has appointed four new directors to steer its strategic direction: Adebowale Fagbemi, Dr. John Erinne, and Mrs. Doseke Akporiaye. These appointments were disclosed in a notice filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).
