Premier Technology opens new nuclear manufacturing facility in Idaho

Premier Technology has completed a 36,000-square-foot expansion in Blackfoot, Idaho, through a partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). The project, valued between $14 million and $15 million, is designed to increase the company’s capacity to manufacture complex nuclear components and systems.

The new facility will triple the company’s ability to produce nuclear gloveboxes—specialized sealed enclosures that enable technicians to handle hazardous materials safely. These components are utilized at the Idaho National Laboratory and various federal facilities throughout the United States.

In addition to supporting Premier Technology’s specific operations, the company intends to make the new capacity available to the broader supply chain. The expansion is expected to create 40 to 50 new jobs and strengthen the advanced manufacturing base in Southeast Idaho.
