Premio Bianca d’Aponte announces ten female singer-songwriter finalists
The 22nd edition of the Premio Bianca d’Aponte, a prominent Italian music competition for female singer-songwriters, has announced its ten finalists. The selected artists represent a diverse range of musical styles, including rock, folk, electronic, and traditional singer-songwriter genres.
The finalists are Natalia Abbascià, L’Aurora (Aurora Caloiero), Bambina (Bambina Cesario), Rosita Brucoli, Fabula (Fabiola Valerio), Mabi (Marcella Buzzi), Miriam Ricordi, MVR (Maria Virginia Bisconti), Sarai (Sara Bassotti), and Simona Valente. These artists were chosen from hundreds of applicants by a committee of industry professionals.
The final competition will take place on October 23 and 24, 2026, at the Teatro Cimarosa in Aversa. Under the artistic direction of Ferruccio Spinetti, the event will feature Marina Rei as the godmother. Prizes include a €1,000 scholarship for the absolute winner and an €800 award for the “Fausto Mesolella” critics' prize, alongside awards for best lyrics, music, and performance.
