Premio Rodari delivers donated books to children in Ukraine

The Premio Gianni Rodari, a cultural initiative involving schools in the Province of Varese, has completed a solidarity mission by delivering 300 illustrated books to children living near the front lines in Ukraine.

The project, which saw participation from 44 primary schools, 149 classes, and approximately 2,800 students, encouraged children to donate books they had already read. Marco Rodari, the jury president, personally delivered the volumes to schools in conflict zones to provide a sense of escape and hope through reading.

Following the success of the first edition, the competition has been officially included in the events celebrating the centenary of the Province of Varese. The presentation for the second edition of the award is scheduled for October 16.
