Premios Graffiti music awards to launch in San José

The 24th edition of the Premios Graffiti, an award ceremony recognizing various genres of national music, will be launched on Wednesday, October 21, at the Teatro Macció in San José. The event is scheduled to begin at 20:30 and will be broadcast on Antel TV.

During the ceremony, 16 distinctions will be awarded across categories including tango, candombe fusion, folklore, electronic music, metal and hard rock, and pop alternative, among others. A tribute will be paid to Francisco Canaro, and several musical acts are scheduled to perform, including Pólvora en Chimango, Copla Alta, and Lázaro Cócaro.

While a jury of producers, journalists, and musicians determines most winners, the public can participate through popular voting to select the Artist of the Year (the ‘Omar Gutiérrez’ award) and Song of the Year.
