Premios Pinti debut at Buenos Aires' Teatro Colón celebrates Argentine commercial theatre

The inaugural Premios Pinti ceremony was held at the historic Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, organized by the Asociación Argentina de Empresarios Teatrales y Musicales (AADET). The awards recognized productions presented in the commercial Buenos Aires circuit between August 2025 and July 2026, featuring 21 categories and more than 70 eligible works.

Key winners included the musical Charlie y la fábrica de chocolate, which took Best Musical, Best Direction and Best Actor in Musical (Agustín “Rada” Aristarán). Una Navidad de mierda was named Best Comedy, Las hijas won Best Drama or Comedy Dramática, and Rocky received the audience‑choice drama/comedy prize together with Best Production and lighting design awards. Hairspray earned choreography and costume design honors, while Lo que el río hace was awarded Best National Authorship. Individual honors went to veteran figures such as Moria Casán, Guillermo Francella and Carlos Rottemberg for lifetime achievement. The public‑choice award went to Annie.

Agustín “Rada” Aristarán hosted the gala, and the event featured a prominent red‑carpet segment with Argentine celebrities. The ceremony highlighted the vitality of the country's commercial theatre sector and aims to become an annual benchmark for artistic, technical and production excellence.
