Prešov Festival Bodkočiarka Highlights Mental Health

The second edition of the Bodkočiarka Festival returned to Prešov, creating a public space for open conversations about mental health and suicide prevention. Organized by Dargaj Gerová, the event features panel discussions with experts such as psychologist Marek Madro and philosopher Petr Kouba, addressing topics like online influence on youth, loneliness and the hikikomori phenomenon. Musical performances include a drum show by Batida, songs by Slovak singer Julia Vranuch, The Sages, and a closing concert by Bad Karma Boy. Workshops, a chill zone, a children’s program, and an art installation are also part of the programme, aiming to provide a safe environment for all ages to share, relax and connect.
