Maciej Janowski wins fourth Individual Polish Speedway Championship
Maciej Janowski has claimed his fourth Individual Polish Speedway Championship title following the final round of the 2026 series held in Ostrow Wielkopolski. Janowski secured the championship by a single point in the overall standings, finishing with 36 points, narrowly ahead of Bartosz Zmarzlik, who ended with 35 points. Kacper Woryna took the bronze medal with 33 points.
The final tournament in Ostrow was marked by high drama and controversy. Bartosz Zmarzlik won the individual round with 15 points, but it was insufficient for the overall title. The event was also overshadowed by a collision involving Patryk Dudek and Zmarzlik; Dudek suffered a fall and was transported to the hospital for medical evaluation. Following the incident, Zmarzlik was excluded from the race.
Jakub Krawczyk emerged as a standout performer, entering the event as a reserve and managing to secure a podium finish in the final round, placing third. The victory marks a significant milestone for Janowski, who now moves into third place in the all-time medal standings for the championship, joining the ranks of legends like Tomasz Gollob and Zenon Plech.
