Preschool education development in Vietnam

Preschool education in Vietnam is focusing on both modern architectural standards and expanding access to remote, mountainous regions. Effective kindergarten design must balance safety, functionality, and educational experience. Modern trends emphasize green spaces, natural light, and child-centered layouts that accommodate specific pedagogical methods like Montessori or STEAM.

In Tuyên Quang province, efforts are underway to universalize preschool education for children aged 3–5, despite significant challenges in high-altitude and ethnic minority areas. Teachers in remote locations, such as Cán Tỷ and Hùng Lợi, work to overcome geographic barriers and limited resources by using creative teaching aids made from local materials. Local authorities are also working to streamline school networks to better suit population scales and regional conditions by 2026.
