Preschool workers seek pay raises in Banja Luka and Sveta Nedelja

Preschool workers in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, are demanding a 10 percent salary increase and parity with other budget users in the city. Slađana Mišić, president of the union organization for the Center for Preschool Education and Training, stated that the demands have been officially submitted to the City Administration. The union is also seeking better terms regarding the enrollment of employees' children in kindergartens. Director Petar Jokanić expressed support for the workers, calling the demands rational and hoping to avoid strikes.

In Sveta Nedelja, Croatia, Mayor Dario Zurovec announced a 20 percent salary increase for all employees at the Slavuj Kindergarten. The city has negotiated an increase in the salary calculation base to achieve this. Zurovec emphasized that the decision aims to show respect for childcare workers and improve working conditions alongside investments in preschool capacity.
