Presidencia de la Plaza woman arrested for assaulting mother in front of child

A 29-year-old woman has been detained in Presidencia de la Plaza after physically assaulting a 31-year-old mother in front of her child. The incident occurred on a Thursday afternoon on the sidewalk of a primary school during class dismissal.

According to police reports, the assailant, identified as N. Y. G., approached the victim, grabbed her by the hair, threw her to the ground, and proceeded to strike her with punches and kicks. The attack was witnessed by the victim's son, as well as other children and adults present at the school.

The local Justice of the Peace ordered the arrest following a formal complaint filed by the victim. The suspect was charged with violating Article 60 of Law 850-J regarding violence contraventions. She was subsequently transferred to the Family and Gender Violence Division in Sáenz Peña, where she remains in custody pending judicial proceedings.
